Sarah Heneghan is a Sheffield-based drummer & composer involved in numerous collaborations across the North. She’s participated in Serious Music’s Take Five residency, Manchester Jazz Festival’s hothouse programme, and received a National Lottery Project Grant for her solo drum & light show, ‘Power Out’. She’s performed at festivals including London Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival, Lancaster Jazz Festival, No Bounds, and Shambala. In 2021, Sarah set-up ‘Key of She’, a monthly music jam night exclusively for women and marginalised genders in Sheffield. Since 2021, Sarah leads a trio, ‘Paint or Pollen’, featuring minimalist, contemporary European jazz, folk, and classical elements with drums, piano, and cello.
Sarah was a Round 2 recipient of the 2022/3 Francis Chagrin Awards.
