Lins Wilson is an experimental cellist-composer based in Leeds, UK, working with instinctive looping, effects and solfeggio frequencies to create soundscapes that initiate healing.

Lins spent 2020-21 developing her non-traditional cello music, thanks to support from ACE’s ‘Developing Your Creative Practise’ and Help Musician’s ‘Transmission’ funds – writing, recording and mixing her debut album at home.

‘Non-Linear’ uncovers emotive sonics to work on healing from buried grief and chronic illness. Lins has continued to work on her music whilst recovering from CFS (since 2017), going through pregnancy & the first life-changing year of motherhood.

Having co-founded arts collective Buffalo, Lins has a background in creating accessible immersive audio-visual installations and composes cello-led soundscapes in collaboration with Jon Foulger and Tom Hudson. These have been supported by Leeds Inspired, ACE, as well as working in collaboration with visual artists Lord Whitney and Steph Jefferies.

Lins was a Round 2 recipient of the 2022/3 Francis Chagrin Awards.
