Lauriem (they/them) is an award-winning composer and sound-maker from Martinique. As a non-binary Caribbean Londoner, they have been composing, performing and organising for social change in London for the past 5 years. Their practice is currently all about using creative tools to unlock community imagination for the purpose of building community-led food and care systems rooted in solidarity, redistribution and healing. As an independent artist, they are currently working on their third EP ‘Sound Capsule for the Revolution’, drawing on soundscapes and interview materials from food and land justice movements across the UK and the Caribbean.
