Ben Middle is a musician, maker, and sound artist based in Leicestershire. With beginnings as a self taught guitarist in experimental punk bands, they went on to secure a degree in Music, Technology, and Innovation from De Montfort University, specialising in electronic instrument design, installation art, and improvisation. Since being immersed in the limitless world of electronic music, Ben has sought to reinvent the electric guitar – putting expanded sound palettes and advanced playability into the hands of contemporary musicians. Since 2018 he has been developing the “Hexaphonic Sustainer”, which allows for infinite sustain, and individual processing of each string.
Ben was a Round 3 recipient of the 2022/3 Francis Chagrin Awards.
