To celebrate the selection of this year’s New Voices cohort, we caught up with all the selected artists and composers for a quick chat.
Here, we speak to New Voices 2022 composer Holysseus Fly.
Can you tell us about your musical influences?
Over the past couple of years I’ve been really influenced by Moses Sumney, James Blake, Sampha, Cleo Sol and Kelsey Lu!
What are you working on at the moment?
I am currently releasing singles from my debut solo EP, and now working on my new EP/album! It’s going to be a much bigger and more epic sound, delving into my identity as a producer to create some deep, soulful bangers.
What are you looking forward to most about New Voices?
I am so looking forward to learning, connecting and being inspired by the artistic coaches, mentors and other artists on the program. I am looking forward to making something really exciting over the next 18 months.
