Holly is a Bristol-based vocalist, pianist, songwriter and painter working under the alias Holysseus Fly. Embarking on her debut as a solo artist alongside her success with the Ishmael Ensemble, Holly’s art boldly tells a story of hope against a backdrop of dark minimal textures.
Holysseus used her time on New Voices to develop as solo artist alongside her success with the Ishmael Ensemble. Holysseus’s goal was to take control of the production of her tracks, release a first single and video, and create the body of an album to be developed further after the programme.
At the end of New Voices she released the blistering pop song Out of this World,which encapsulated her vision and sound. The track received national radio airplay and press. Holysseus was invited to support Nick Mulvey on a national tour and played the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury Festival.
