Generator are looking for a a highly-motivated, culturally engaged and well networked Strategic Partnerships manager to lead the team in the development of the Generator Union network for the creative and cultural sector.

Salary: £25-28K Pro Rata + bonus scheme

Hours: Part Time – 21 per week Mon-Fri

Deadline to apply: Friday 9th December, 5:00 PM

About the role

You’ll join Generator’s small but mighty team, helping us to grow our thriving new creative and cultural network Generator Union, helping us to develop commercially supportive partnerships across sectors in the North East. You’ll work to increase the network and Generator’s reach, engagement levels and reputation, leading on the programming, organisation and running of innovative and exciting events, networking meetings, lectures, seminars and workshops.

As a champion networker, you’ll help to drive home Generator’s mission within the business and cultural communities, using your contacts to connect members with opportunities and develop lasting partnerships that benefit Generator, our members and the creative and cultural scenes more widely.

You will generate, identify and shore up revenue streams into the organisation through commercial sponsorships and work to increase membership subscriptions to ensure Generator’s financial stability beyond its public funding.

Generator is growing rapidly and this role will play a key part in managing that growth and developing our reputation within the region and beyond. You would be joining Generator at a hugely exciting time for the organisation.

About You

Needless to say, you’ll be an excellent networker and sales driven. You’ll already have a vast contact book and a network you can draw on from day one.

You will already ideally be embedded within the creative, cultural or digital sectors and have a passion for the creative industries that aligns with Generator’s mission.

You’ll need to be impeccably organised and have a wealth of experience when it comes to programming and organising events in the business space, from networking meet ups to educational workshops. You will often be juggling a number of project strands and programming many events at the same time, so the ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver attendance figures every time is paramount.

You will work directly with our busy marketing team to promote and market your programme and the benefits of being a member, so a good understanding of your market and audience and most importantly how to out bums on seats is vital.

As well as being an accomplished networker, you’ll need your finger on the pulse when it comes to identifying potential partners, sponsorship opportunities and developments within the creative and cultural sector, so we can respond and adapt the offer to suit.

We’re a small, but mighty team here at Generator with a lot going on and plenty to get stuck in with. If you’re flexible, adaptable and have a fab, can-do attitude, you’ll fit right in.
