standard issue is a London-based new music collective that is passionate about the accessibility of contemporary and experimental music.

We are launching our 2023 Call for Scores for early-career composers to write for our collective. The two winners will receive a monetary prize, in addition to having their works premiered and professionally recorded.

Our Call for Scores will allow us to uplift voices of early career composers by giving them full artistic freedom to collaborate with us. Additionally, we hope that hosting concerts of these new works will celebrate an array of diverse artistic voices and will foster community between performer and audience, furthering our artistic mission of contemporary music accessibility.
