Do you need time, space, and money to work on a new musical project? We’re looking for two artists with an exciting idea that needs somewhere to grow.
If this sounds like you, you’re an ideal candidate for the Artist in Residence programme:
- I’m committed to making exciting and ambitious work
- I think I’ll benefit from the support of Sage Gateshead’s Artist Development team
- I write my own original music
- I have experience of performing, recording, collaborating with other artists and leading my own creative projects
- I’m based in the North East or Cumbria
- I’m over 18
If you’re selected as one of our Artists in Residence, over 10 months you’ll receive support designed to help you fulfil your artistic ambitions. Your residency runs from September 2023 until June 2024, culminating with your end of year performance at Sage Gateshead. You lead your project with support from our team. You decide how to use the time and money available to create the final performance or digital project.
