We are excited to open applications for Drake Music Collective 2023, our professional development initiative for Disabled musicians. The programme aims to change the landscape for Disabled musicians, making a career as a musician more accessible and sustainable.

The Resident Artist (Access Champion) role is for a Disabled musician* based in the UK, with 3 or more years’ experience of working as a musician. They will be committed to a long-term musical career but might not make all their income from music.

As a resident artist they will be able to pursue development opportunities as well as creating a piece of new music. They will have access to a £2000 seed fund, as well as the security of a steady income, sick pay and other benefits of employment.

They will also help to shape Drake Music’s work in campaigning to make the music industry more accessible to Disabled musicians. They will do this through research, strengthening our networks, feeding into Drake Music policies and creating resources.
