Britten Pears Arts is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast. It was created in 2020 when the two long established charities which formed the legacy of Britten and Pears’ life and work, Snape Maltings (formerly Aldeburgh Music) and Britten-Pears Foundation came together.

The extended residency programme at Britten Pears Arts brings together a variety of development opportunities. Residencies take place at Snape Maltings or at Benjamin Britten’s former home – The Red House in Aldeburgh and we offer a unique experience for a diverse range of artists and researchers who may be seeking a peaceful retreat or more intense development time. Our Creative Retreats and Residencies are designed to enable creativity and opportunities to re-focus.

This is a new role which will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the extended Residency model, and leads on its regular application calls. The focus will be on developing close working relationships with Residency Artists, working with them to create the most beneficial mix of opportunities, whilst keeping in mind the overall direction & vision of the programme.

The role will suit a confident and experienced arts manager/Producer who is excited by the idea of being given autonomy and responsibility for the delivery of this high-profile strand of work within Britten Pears Arts.
