CoMA London is running open composition workshops, allowing composers to hear their work in progress played by an amateur ensemble dedicated to contemporary music.
Feedback will be provided by the ensemble and Edward Nesbit, composer and lecturer in composition at King’s College London.
Workshops will be held from 7pm to 9pm on June 6 and 13 at Queen Mary University in Mile End.
Apply for a place by contacting london@coma.org expressing your interest by 15 May and including two examples of previous compositions. The score to be workshopped will be required by 29 May. It must be suitable for a flexible ensemble of 15-20 players, for example using CoMA’s Open Score system: www.coma.org/composers#writing-open-score
