NYJO is looking for an ambitious and dynamic Head of Creative Programme to lead our Emerging Professionals department, working with ambitious young jazz musicians aged 18-26.
As Head of Creative Programme you will lead NYJO’s artistic output, engaging guest artists, expanding our roster of MDs and building promoter partnerships to deliver a diary that balances commercial, artistic and educational aims. You will create a programme of rehearsal and gig opportunities for ensembles of all sizes, curating opportunities for our Emerging Professionals to explore all aspects of jazz and improvised music. You will also manage our professional development programme, planning and programming workshops and masterclasses alongside creative industry sessions from marketing and fundraising to finance and tax. At the heart of this programme is the opportunity for our Emerging Professionals to train as educators with our Learning department.
