• Come and compose a piece in a day working with leading composer, Simon Speare (Faculty – Royal College of Music) and members of the internationally acclaimed ensemble, Chamber Domaine.
• Learn new techniques and skills that will help you write music in any style and hear your music being played by top professional musicians.
• Go Compose! is a collaboration with Sound and Music – the UK’s leading development agency for contemporary music and a charity whose mission is to maximise the opportunities for people to create and enjoy new music.
• This workshop and concert are inspired by Messiaen – The Quartet for the End of Time. Written in a prisoner of war camp in 1940 and premiered on 15th January 1941, this visionary work is full of colour, imagination and birdsong: the perfect starting point for new works composed in a day.
