Generator are looking for an experienced and driven professional to work with and support the CEO in delivering our Vision: A Sustainable Music Industry in the North East that is accessible to all.


Salary: £35-£40k pro rata

Hours: Part time, three days per week

About the role

You’ll work with our CEO and senior managers to lead Generator’s small but mighty team to deliver our mission and vision for a sustainable music industry in the North East.

Working with the CEO and team, you’ll take a lead on developing the corporate direction for the organisation and ensure everything is in place for our teams to deliver on these goals year round. Devising business and creative delivery strategy and developing processes and systems to deliver this strategy will form a key part of the role.

The Deputy CEO will work alongside the CEO to form high-level partnerships regionally, nationally and internationally, to help grow Generator’s reputation and identify and secure revenue streams beyond our public funding.

As a senior figure within the organisation and the creative and cultural industries in the North East, you will act as an ambassador for Generator and the industry as a whole, as well as a key pillar in the organisation itself, for our teams to depend on year round.

Taking a lead on our People function, to ensure all HR processes are followed and implemented with the highest levels of care and responsibility, the Deputy CEO will lead the organisation operationally and deputise for the CEO when needed. As a keen administrator, you’ll ensure the organisation’s management, delivery, monitoring and financial reporting processes are compliant with the relevant funding conditions and legislation including ERDF and other public sector sources.
