Date & Time: Sunday 29 October 10.30am-4.30pm
Venue: The Anatomy Rooms, Queen St, Aberdeen AB10 1AP
This informal, relaxed singing day will introduce singers of all voice types to contemporary vocal works, many written for amateurs. The repertoire will include Judith Weir’s My Guardian Angel, as well as James Weeks’ The wind is its blowing, with the latter leading the day with the support of members of Chamber Choir Ireland. The day will conclude with an informal sharing of the pieces which will be open to the public.
All singers (age 15+) are welcome, although some experience of singing in a choir and the ability to read music will be useful for the day. Please bring a pencil and a packed lunch.
Cost: £5 for over 18’s, free for under 18’s/students/unemployed
Early sign-up is encouraged.
