A call to composers to present ideas for the annual Colourscape Music Festival on Clapham Common this September. Colourscape is a large walk-in labyrinth of colour and light. About 75 chambers are interlinked to form a large experience of colour, light and space where contemporary music, dance and other performances can take place.
Our annual Rawsthorn commission fund has only one limitation – we expect successful applicants to have a practical experience of Colourscape as this unusual performance space has many unique aspects.
Commissions could be for performances, installations, mixed media, group commissions. We particularly like applications that involve research into new kinds of links between space, colour, light, public participation.
