OCM is now accepting applications for Boom 2021/22.

Boom is OCM’s annual professional development scheme for music/sound artists/musicians and producers who are interested in creating and presenting inspiring contemporary music or sound based work outside of the concert hall and gallery (i.e. in unconventional spaces, outdoors, and in the digital realm). The scheme supports the development of artists (at any stage of their career) who are passionate about engaging with large and diverse audiences with contemporary performance, digital practice and installation work.

The programme aims to address underrepresentation of people from the Global Majority in this field and we are therefore particularly interested in hearing from artists and producers who identify as such.

Boom residencies are for 6 months (November 2021 – April 2022) and support practitioners and producers to lead their own development, research or training programme with no expectation of specific outcomes. Our primary goal is your artistic development, whether this results in the production of work or not.
