Annie Mahtani (composer and sound artist) and Chris Mapp (bass player, composer, improvisor) perform together in the unique setting of the Lapworth Museum of Geology. Through the use of field recordings and free improvisation they will create compelling sonic environments taking the listener on a journey through natural and electronic sound worlds. This performance will use the new IKO loudspeaker (one of 4 in the UK), a groundbreaking loudspeaker that creates an immersive sonic experience. The contrast of a state-of-the-art immersive sound system in a prehistoric setting promises to be an intriguing event. The evening will also feature debut performances by members of BEAST.
