Amy Hopwood is a folk singer-songwriter, based in Exeter, and inspired by the likes of Karine Polwart, Emily Portman and Leon Rosselson. She has studied social anthropology, folklore, and human behaviour, and these interests tend to creep out in her lyrics. Her third self-produced album, Into the Woods, was released in August. Amy also works as “The Songwriting Project”, running community programmes aimed at reducing social isolation, and building people’s confidence, through singing and songwriting.
Amy was a Round 1 recipient of the 2022/3 Francis Chagrin Awards.
