We’re so excited to share the news that the Music Patron Beta Site is officially live!

From today, you can visit musicpatron.com to explore the composers and become a patron yourself.

What does beta mean?

The Music Patron site is still a work in progress. We’ve been through a month long round of ‘alpha testing’, making sure all of the inner workings of the site are functioning, however, there may still be minor changes and fixes to make. We’d love to hear what you think of the site and if you notice anything that needs our attention.

How long will the beta last?

Good question! This is an incredibly exciting time for Music Patron; we’re striving to make the site as effective as it can be so that we can support as many composers as possible, in the best way possible. This means that we’ll be conducting user research throughout the rest of the year. Once we’ve taken some key findings from this research, we may iterate on the site and continue this beta test, or, we may decide we are close enough to officially “launch” and come out of beta.

From today, you’ll be able to log into the site, browse the 9 exciting composers on the platform and set up a monthly donation to one of more of them, giving you access to exclusive patron content. This could be live zoom hangouts, a look into their composition process etc; each of the composers has a unique voice & way of communicating with their patrons and we encourage you to get to know each of them!

From putting together this amazing group of composers, holding our first induction day, to designing and creating the site, it’s been a real journey coming this far and we’re so excited that you can now join us on this journey from today. We’re especially keen to hear feedback on the site, so do let us know your thoughts!

Finally, if you’re interested in joining Music Patron as a composer, you can register your interest here.

Head to musicpatron.com and help us secure the future of new music.
