David is a Director at Brunswick Arts in London, where he advises cultural organisations on strategy and communications. Clients have included the British Museum, British Library, UBS, Wellcome Collection, National Poetry Day, National Museums Scotland, Hay Festival, Royal Opera House Muscat and Sadler’s Wells. Prior to that David was a professional musician, performing with classical, contemporary, world music and jazz groups. His interest in new music came from working with composers to create contemporary music theatre for a company of moving string players, The Gogmagogs. He has also written and broadcast on music and arts for BBC Radio and TV, The Guardian, The South Bank Show and The Telegraph.

David studied English Language and Literature at Oxford University, before postgraduate study at the Royal Academy of Music. He is also a trustee of English Touring Opera, and leads interdisciplinary workshops to help people and organisations harness the potential of music.
