Yorkshire Sound Women Network (YSWN) is seeking a motivated Industry Lead to head up its industry-facing activities, helping to create a more inclusive and equitable audio sector.

You will be responsible for shaping YSWN’s industry-facing activities including establishing and maintaining relationships with a broad range of organisations across the audio industry; devising, selling and delivering new and existing training and corporate support packages as well as exploring other forms of earned income. We inspire and enable women and gender-diverse people to explore sound and music technology, running projects devoted to artistic development, education and network-building. We also work with the audio industry to promote equality, tackle discrimination and increase opportunities.

How we work

In line with our feminist values, YSWN operates with a flat hierarchy and organisation-wide equal salary rate. We are a small organisation where every role calls for both autonomous self-management and supportive, collaborative teamwork.

The weekly hours can generally be worked flexibly to accommodate your individual preference and commitments but would need to incorporate a regular whole-team meeting and attendance at any specific events or training dates agreed.

YSWN will auto-enrol you in a pension scheme and make a 5% contribution in addition to the contribution (currently 3% above the earnings threshold) from your salary. The role offers 11.2 days paid holiday (28 days pro rata) as well as an additional discretionary organisation-wide closure over Christmas.

YSWN welcomes applications from candidates of all backgrounds, age groups and cultures, particularly people of colour and those living with disabilities, and is committed to promoting and increasing diversity within the organisation’s governance, workforce and beneficiaries.
