PPL, the UK’s music licensing company for performers and recording rightsholders, has awarded funding to Attitude is Everything to support the charity in establishing a creative collective.
The creative collective will work with six deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists across Manchester and Birmingham aged over 25 to explore accessibility of the recording and promotion process of releasing new music.
Project outcomes will include:
- Producing and releasing a six-track mixtape
- Showcasing the final mixtape
- Mentor session for the six participants from established artists
- Artist diaries of their experiences of access barriers
How can I get involved?
We are recruiting for developing recording performing artist based within a 10 mile radius of Birmingham or Manchester

Key dates for your diary:
- Applications close midnight Monday 2nd September
- Deadline for featured artists on the mixtape by Monday 2nd September
- Project starts by 24th September
The project will go live in September 2024 running till January 2025.
