March Static: a marching band reimagined
March Static is a contemporary music work for massed wind, drum and percussion players by acclaimed Berlin-based Australian composer Thomas Meadowcroft.
Ethereal chords wash over the audience, interrupted by fragments of marching percussion. The project reimagines the marching band as an immersive experience, celebrating community and peace over military might.
March Static will receive its first UK performance at the Norfolk & Norwich Festival on Friday 9th May, performed by an ensemble of local players directed by Australian ensemble Speak Percussion and CoMA.
This is your chance to get involved!
