I have written plays. The first one is work/political satire, script completed, through constantly reviewed as UK political changes emerge. Songs also written, and while I am reasonably good with lyrics, melodies tend to escape me.
The second quickly became a musical as I was writing it, while writing songs to the side, each inspiring the other. The subject, with humour involved, but more on the serious subject of homelessness. Most of the song lyrics are written, a few tear jerkers in there, as is the case with the script.
My desire, if you will, is to stage it locally to me in the first instance, with a view of it being noticed and picked up by producers in London, and yes, as many Capitals as possible.
So, to you, my potential collaborator, I need a composer who can add appropriate music to both, or maybe just focus on the second one for now, and punch and melody to the lyrics, a combination that will get to the audience’
Full credit to the composer, for the musical, and maybe a record LP of the songs, with this also including a suitably agreed % of everything.
