CoMA London Ensemble is seeking to appoint two composers in residence for the calendar year 2025.

During the year, each composer will produce a c.8-12 minute piece which will be rehearsed in the autumn term and premiered during CoMA London Ensemble’s December 2025 performance. In the spring and summer there will be workshop sessions with the ensemble, dedicated to developing the composers’ ideas.

The successful applicants will join CoMA London Ensemble in January 2025 and will play with the group in rehearsals and concerts throughout the year. This will provide an intimate understanding of the group, and enable the composers to create a piece closely tailored to its strengths and interests.

To take advantage of this opportunity, applicants must play a string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument to a reasonable standard and must be able to commit to rehearsals on Tuesday evenings during term time in Tower Hamlets (7-9.15pm).

If you would like to take part in this project, please click here to see more specific detail and to fill in the application form.

The application deadline is 5pm on Friday 25 October 2024. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 13 November 2024.
