We are currently on the lookout for composers on our upcoming project: “Divided Nations”, to be performed in April 2025.

Headlines of war, race riots, and political tensions plague the news today. Through this project, we aim to highlight the importance of fostering connection, in these divided times.

Utilising a staircase, the musicians will be dispersed across the space, standing at varying levels (some may be on the ground floor, some on the staircase, some on the upper floor). This creates an experience, in that if you are stood below the musicians, you hear one connected sound, but as you walk closer to the individual musicians, they become amplified, almost serving as a lone entity. The musicians will not be in fixed positions, and will be able to move to different locations whilst playing.

We are looking for proposals for pieces (around 10-15 minutes), that follow any of the sub-themes, such as war, political division, cultural clashes etc. Please attach links to previous work. Instrumentation is Flutes, Oboes, Saxes/Bb clarinet, guitar. Speech can be utilised too.

For further information, please contact us.

Deadline: 31st January 2025. Applications to be submitted via the google form:
