Ely Collegium, one of Ely’s top chamber choirs, will give a concert on Sunday 28th September at 3pm, in the church of St Peter-in-Ely in Broad Street, as part of St Peter’s Flower Festival ‘Harvest of the Mind’.

The choir, well-known for their participation in Selfmade Music’s concerts at the Lady Chapel in Ely Cathedral over the last three years, will sing ‘a cappella’ items interspersed with solos.

Included will be favourites such as Stanford’s sublime motets ‘Beati quorum via’ and ‘The Blue Bird’, and Sullivan’s exquisite glee ‘The Long Day Closes’, along with many beautiful Elizabethan and Italian madrigals. In addition, musical director Dr. Susannah Self’s new motet ‘Ancient Signs’, a tribute to Carl Gustav Jung, will be given its second performance.

Entrance is free, with a retiring collection for the church.
