Composer, cellist, cabaret artist, educator, mentor, curator and presenter, the increasingly un-categorisable Zoë Martlew travels the world in a combination of all these roles.

Described in the press as “dazzling, gleefully tawdry, electrifying, nuanced, expertly rendered, expressive intensity” Zoë’s music has been performed at leading venues including Wigmore Hall, Aldeburgh, Cheltenham and Tanglewood Festivals, Holland Park Opera, Linbury Studio ROH, Dark Music Days (Iceland), Camerata Pacifica (US) by leading artists including Riot Ensemble, London Sinfonietta, Birmingham Contemporary Music Festival, Claire Booth, Nicholas Daniels, Alessandro Fischer, Ben Goldscheider, Lore Lixenberg, Mark Simpson, Huw Watkins.

Zoë was shortlisted to represent the ISCM British Section at the World New Music Days Festival 2024, in the Faroe Islands.
