SONAMB is the music project of sound artist Vicky Clarke, whose work explores materiality, electrical phenomena and ritual. Working with sound sculpture, DIY electronics and human-machine systems, she explores techno-emotional states through composition and live AV performance.
She released debut album, SLEEPSTATES, ‘‘a glitchy experimental techno jerker”(Boomkat) in 2022 with recent shows including IKLEKTIK, MUTEK and supporting Forest Swords. AURA MACHINE, her sonic AI piece, from her Musique Concreté and Machine Learning residency with NOVARS, University of Manchester, featured on FACTmag’s Patch Notes series.
In 2020 Vicky was awarded an Oram Award from PRS Foundation and New BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
