Safi is a 17 year-old instrumentalist, composer, and songwriter from South London. She is also a member of Sound and Music’s Young Composer Advisory group.
She plays clarinet, saxophone, and piano as both a soloist and a group player, and has a growing interest and involvement with music production. Her favourite styles of music are jazz and funk, having been surrounded by these as well as salsa music, whilst growing up.
Safi loves to fuse these styles together, and has released one jazz funk track so far (on Spotify, Apple music, etc). She have many tracks on the go at the moment, which she hopes to release one day as an album. She also enjoys collaborating with other musicians and has released a total of 3 collaborative tracks. She has come to love performing and finds her confidence growing more and more each day!
