Richard was a songwriter and musician in the band Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci from 1991–2004 creating work in folk, alternative pop, psych rock, and continued these forms in solo work. Since 2010 he has mainly composed instrumental music, in collaboration and solo, creating albums, performing live, soundtracks, creating and managing music and multi art form projects for live performance, radio and installations. Recently he has explored work through research and experimentation into crossovers of global traditional musical heritage and long form, drone, avant-garde, analogue synthesiser, electronic, acoustic/classical music and resonant acoustics within natural and human made environments.
