Raymond (they/them) is described as a composer and clarinetist ‘with great poise and understanding’ and is a ‘powerful communicator through music’ and is based in London, UK .
They graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a 1:1 and Concert Recital Diploma (2020). Recent BBC Radio 3 performances include Birmingham Contemporary Music Festival’s Birtwistle celebration and the Total Immersion series of Detlev Glanert with BBC Symphony Orchestra.
Raymond’s music has been played across the UK and abroad and draws heavily on their experiences as a synesthete.
In April 2022 Raymond received one of Sound and Music’s Covid-19 Composer Awards:
