María Gabriela Rubio Hernández is a Colombian composer and interdisciplinary artist working with electroacoustic music, mixed composition, acoustic music, performance, and sound art. Her practice explores taboo, the body, and the sonic potential of everyday objects, often blurring the lines between composition and staged action.

Her work has been presented at international platforms including the Darmstadt Summer Course (Sonic Writing & Sounding), the Forecast Forum 2025 International Mentorship Program, and the MUSLAB – Planeta Complejo Exhibition (2024), among others. Her piece “Literatura como fuente de Conocimiento” won the National Young Composers Competition of the Banco de la República (2024).
