John Aulich is a British composer currently based in Manchester, whose works have been performed internationally by leading ensembles such as ELISION and International Contemporary Ensemble. His music is characterised by evocative, highly charged, and volatile sound-worlds stemming from the physicality of performance. John’s music spans a number of broad themes, including ambiguity of meaning, sensuality and touch, and the philosophical connotations of music notation. Current projects include a new chamber piece with spatialised electronics, which he is working on as a member of LSO Soundhub.

In March 2023, John was selected for the ISCM British Section’s shortlist of composers submitted to the ISCM World New Music Days Festival in South Africa. Find out more here.
