Bobbie-Jane Gardner is a composer, arranger and educator based in Birmingham U.K. Currently, her music stems from a love of African-American orchestral music of the 60s and 70s, Hip Hop sampling culture, jazz, soul and funk. She has received commissions from Heart n Soul, Spitalfields Music, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Onyx Brass and Wild Plum Arts.

Her work has been performed by leading ensembles including Psappha, Project Instrumental, City of London Sinfonia, London Symphony Orchestra and Ethereal World. Bobbie’s music has also been performed at international festivals, including the Cheltenham Music Festival, Frontiers Festival and the London Jazz Festival.

Bobbie was shortlisted to represent the ISCM British Section at the World New Music Days Festival 2024, in the Faroe Islands.
