BILLY is the result of an inter-disciplinary collaboration between Glasgow-based Raivo Sloan (Viktorija Buharova), music producer, composer and artist and CRPNTR (Owen Sutcliffe), a writer, youth worker and an emcee.

They created an ambitious new project together, part composed, part improvised, through a series of self-directed workshops, culminating in a collection of soundtracked short stories.

It’s kind of our baby’, says Raivo Sloan, ‘we plan to do more of this work in future, but for now, we will be hosting two special work-in-progress sharings on the 29th and 30th of November’.

Raivo worked with Producer, Molly Whawell to develop the work and feedback process saying “Molly stepped in in the very first sketchy rehearsal of our pieces, told us what they thought and asked the right questions. It really scratched our brains, thank you”

“Also a massive thank you to The House Arts Collective for hosting us and kindly letting us use their space while we figured things out. Thank you to Oliver Pitt who has designed a colouring booklet to accompany each story, which you will get a hold of if you come along. One of the drawings is used in this poster. : )”

This project is part of Raivo Sloan’s 18 month journey on Sound and Music’s artist development programme In Motion. Raivo’s Sloan’s participation on In Motion was generously funded by Creative Scotland.

Thanks to Sound and Music and Creative Scotland, we’re able to make these events and booklets free.

Reserve your space through TicketTailor. Be part of it. See you there.
