We are pleased to share that Music Patron has appointed Augusta Quiney as Chief Executive Officer, marking another important milestone in the platform’s journey toward becoming a stand-alone charity.
Augusta brings remarkable experience in cultural leadership, from founding music production company A-Bomb Music to transforming global arts partnerships at Amnesty International, where her innovative campaigns reached millions worldwide. Her commitment to supporting creators and building sustainable cultural initiatives aligns perfectly with Music Patron’s mission.
Since its inception within our organisation in 2021, Music Patron has grown to support 27 composers through a community of over 100 patrons. This CEO appointment represents a natural progression as the platform prepares for full independence, expected in 2026.
“We’re proud to see Music Patron flourishing as it moves toward this next phase. Augusta’s appointment strengthens the foundations for continued growth while maintaining the values and relationships that have made Music Patron successful.”
— Dr Will Dutta, Chief Executive at Sound and Music
Throughout the transition period, Music Patron continues operating as normal, ensuring uninterrupted support for composers and patrons. When it becomes an independent organisation, it will continue to collaborate across the new music sector to champion the creation and appreciation of new music across the UK.
This development reflects our commitment to nurturing innovative approaches to supporting composers and expanding access to new music for diverse audiences.
