Calling all composers… are you a freelancer working in music composition or sound design who’s looking to step up and progress your career? Unlock your potential through mentorship, leadership training, and networking opportunities in this exciting programme.
Creative Access is providing 30 funded places on Thrive – our unrivalled year-long career development programme of training, networking and support for mid-level talent, created by and for people from communities that are historically under-represented in the creative industries.
The scheme will commence in March 2024 and includes:
- Workshops covering topics such as being a freelancer, navigating imposter syndrome and developing a leadership mindset
- Mentoring by a senior industry professional for 6 months
- Networking events and bespoke masterclasses
- Free and discounted tickets to cultural events
Participants can expect to increase influence, develop a leadership mindset, have increased confidence to advocate for equal access to training, pay rises and promotions, build contacts and working relationships across sectors, and take strides to achieve career objectives.
This opportunity is only open to individuals from a group that is under-represented in the creative industries. This includes, but is not limited to Black, Asian and ethnically diverse candidates, disabled people, those undergoing gender reassignment / transitioning and individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
We are particularly keen on hearing from individuals based in Scotland or of Scottish descent.
