Tŷ Cerdd distributes Lottery funds on behalf of Arts Council of Wales, to help organisations develop music-making of all genres in communities around Wales.
Three strands – Create, Engage & Inspire – support a range of work. Your organisation can apply to one, two or even three pots at once if you have activity that fits the priorities and guidelines.
Priorities
-
To nurture new music
-
To create partnerships between artists and organisations
-
To help bring communities together
-
To inspire young people
And we’re most interested in projects that provide opportunities for individuals and communities that are under-represented or have been neglected and excluded.
A fund to support the creation of new work by composers and music-creators of any genre. Apply for up to £2,000 from Create to commission a composer, work with an artist in residence, or join forces with a music-creator to write a new piece for your group.
Funding a range of activity – from live performances to online productions, from workshops to community collaborations – Engage offers grants of between £250 and £2,000 towards activity that reaches out to audiences and communities.
With young people at its heart, Inspire can support your organisation up to the tune of £2,000 for a music project for participants aged under 26.
