Cryptic is looking for 15 musicians between the ages of 16-25 who are interested in exploring electronic and live music making.
What is it:
Deep Dive is an artist development programme for up to 15 young musicians who feel they would benefit from a relaxed, welcoming space to meet, learn, and gain confidence in sharing their ideas with each other.
The aim of the sessions is for the group to explore electronic and live music making skills. The programme will be led by the group, responsive to their needs, and will be supported by artists and industry professionals who will act as mentors.
The programme will run from October 2022 until March 2023 and will consist of monthly two-hour gatherings in Glasgow. These meetings will be once every month from 19:00 until 21:00.
We particularly welcome applications from young musicians who feel they face barriers, which may include financial, ethnicity, education, social class, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, neurodiversity, a long term health condition/s or have caring responsibilities.
What do you get:
- £50 per session attended, plus travel and accommodation to attend the session if you don’t live in Glasgow. Travel within Glasgow will also be paid for anyone who lives locally
- Six two-hour sessions and the opportunity to participate in a jam session at the end (you are welcome to leave if this isn’t your thing)
- Support throughout from mentors and the Cryptic team
