Help us support composers through the COVID-19 crisis
With the continuing lockdown, venue closures and huge uncertainty about the future, we know that many composers are facing a difficult winter ahead. To help them, we've launched a second round of the COVID-19 Composer Awards, offering one-off grants of £500 to help composers sustain and develop their practice.
Can you help us raise £5,000 in the next two weeks to support the COVID-19 Composer Awards? Thanks to match funding, if we reach this target we will be able to support 20 composers this December.
These Awards are vital for helping composers during this time. One of the composers selected in round one said: "Thanks so much for this award, it has made a real difference during these difficult times and I would have really struggled with my practice if it wasn’t for Sound and Music. I’ve also been able to pick up some more work, and having the award on my CV looks great!"

About the COVID-19 Composer Awards
Earlier this year, we repurposed our established Francis Chagrin Award to respond to the crisis and create the COVID-19 Composer Awards. The Awards support UK-based composers and music creators who have lost work due to the COVID-19 crisis to undertake creative or professional development.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors we were able to offer 13 awards in the first round, supporting people like Dominie Hooper (pictured above).
