Catherine Bunting has 17 years’ experience of research and evaluation in the non-profit sector. She is an expert in impact assessment for charities, particularly in the arts and cultural sector. A statistician by background, Catherine now works as an independent consultant and enjoys using data to help organisations to understand and demonstrate the difference they make.

Catherine has carried out research projects with clients including Arts Marketing Association, Creative Diversity Network, English Heritage, People United, Roundhouse and Tate. With Pro Bono Economics, she designed and now delivers a training programme on economic evaluation for charities. She is a consultant on the Arts Council’s Impact & Insight Toolkit, supporting arts and cultural organisations to evaluate the impact of their work through self-assessment, peer review and audience feedback.

Previously, Catherine was Director of Research at Arts Council England. She has a BSc in Statistics and Economics and a MSc in Applied Statistics.
