Wales-Wyoming Workshops (W3) announces the inaugural Composer Fellowship Program, a tuition-free, fully virtual opportunity for emerging composers, created in partnership with the inaugural Tenby International Music Festival (Wales) and the Wyoming International Chamber Music Festival (USA). This new transatlantic initiative supports collaboration between composers and performers in the creation and performance of contemporary chamber music.

Two Fellows will be selected—one from Wales and one from Wyoming or its neighboring states. Each will have their composition workshopped and performed at both festivals, with video and audio recordings provided for portfolio or promotional use. This is a unique chance for emerging composers to gain international exposure and engage with vibrant new music communities on both sides of the Atlantic.

Fellowship Opportunities

  • Two virtual workshops with resident musicians of the Tenby International Music Festival and Wyoming International Chamber Music Festivals
  • Two public performances of their submitted composition, one at each festival
  • Audio and video recordings of both performances
  • Optional virtual lesson with composer-in-residence Kian Ravaei
