Are you aged between 16-25 and want to learn about electronic music production? Then this is the right track for you!
The Right Track is looking for two groups of 10 young people to take part in free weekend programmes, learning the fundamentals of electronic music production, developing skills, and gaining a more in-depth knowledge of the music industry in Scotland and beyond.
The first weekend programme will run on 9th – 10th August, and the second on 13th – 14th September. Sessions will take place from 10:00 – 17:00, and will be held at subSine Academy of Music in Glasgow.
NOTE: Applicants can only participate in one weekend programme each. Please specify which weekend you would like to attend in your application.
Included in the programme:
* Two 6 hour sessions (food and refreshments provided)
* Tuition from Scotland’s only Ableton-certified trainer in a fun, relaxed learning environment
* Assistance with accommodation and travel costs for non-local participants. We can help with travel costs if you’re local as well
Who can apply:
* Young people aged between 16-25 (and up to 30 for those who identify as Disabled, neurodivergent, care experienced and/or a young carer)
* This programme is aimed at beginners, so no prior production experience is necessary
* You can be based in any part of Scotland but willing to travel to Glasgow for the weekend
We actively encourage applications from young people facing barriers to accessing electronic music and underrepresentation in the industry due to factors such as ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, financial background, education, social class, disability, neurodiversity, long-term health conditions, or care experience.

What happens next:
* A panel will review and shortlist applications. Those shortlisted will be invited to an informal interview
* Interviews will be held on 7th & 14th July via zoom
* The first weekend programme begins on 9th August
* The second weekend programme begins on 13th September
* If you have any access needs that you wish to share, we will be supportive in discussing these with you at any stage of the application and selection process
