Are you aged between 16-25 and want to learn about electronic music production? Then this is the right track for you!
The Right Track is looking for 10 young people to take part in a free six week programme to learn the fundamentals of electronic music production, develop skills, and gain a more in-depth knowledge of the music industry in Scotland and beyond.
This programme runs for six weeks from 3rd July – 7th August. Sessions will take place every Thursday from 10:00 – 17:00, and will be held at subSine Academy of Music in Glasgow.
Included in the programme:
- One 6 hour session per week (food and refreshments provided)
- Tuition from Scotland’s only Ableton-certified trainer in a fun, relaxed learning environment
- Guest tutors
- Assistance with accommodation and travel costs for non-local participants. We can help with travel costs if you’re local
Who can apply:
- Young people aged between 16-25 (and up to 30 for those who identify as Disabled, neurodivergent, care experienced and/or a young carer)
- This programme is aimed at beginners, so no prior production experience is necessary
- You can be based in any part of Scotland but willing to travel to Glasgow each week for the duration of the programme (see note)
We actively encourage applications from young people facing barriers to accessing electronic music and underrepresentation in the industry due to factors such as ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, financial background, education, social class, disability, neurodiversity, long-term health conditions, or care experience.
