Call for Scores: Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with Baritone Andrew White
Vox Novus is seeking one-minute compositions for baritone Andrew White as part of the Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame project. Works may be composed for solo baritone or baritone with electronic accompaniment and will be premiered online in 2025.
Submission Guidelines:
Works must be exactly one minute in length.
Compositions should be written specifically for this call and performer.
Only works for baritone voice, with or without electronic accompaniment, will be considered.
All submissions must be premieres and cannot have been performed previously.
Texts used must be in the public domain. If using copyrighted texts, written permission from the author must be included in the score.
Multiple submissions will not be accepted—submit your best work!
Submission Process:
All submissions must be made online via Music Avatar.
Deadline for submission: May 31st, 2025.
Composers must register (for free) on Music Avatar to submit their work.

About the Performer: Andrew White
Dr. Andrew White serves on the voice faculty at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He holds multiple degrees, including a Doctorate from The Cleveland Institute of Music/Case Western Reserve University. He has previously taught at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, The University of Akron, Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory, and more. His New York debut at Weill Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall) featured the works of Frederick Koch, earning praise as “a formidable interpreter.”

The initiative showcases contemporary compositions, connecting audiences with new music by living composers. Since its inception, the project has premiered works from over 1,000 composers in New York City and across 11 countries.
