PAST IS PROLOGUE

Untitled Experiment returns to Conway Hall with Past is Prologue, a live performance exploring how musical language has evolved across time. Harpsichordist Katarzyna Kowalik and violinist Ioana Petcu-Colan invite audiences to follow a journey through sound, tracing how the past continues to shape the present.

Music evolves. Musical language has been evolving over time, from simple and harmonic to more complicated and dissonant. Somewhere along the line some of the audience got lost.  Past is Prologue encourages listeners to reconnect with this journey. Through a carefully chosen programme, Kowalik and Petcu-Colan open a dialogue between two distinct musical worlds, revealing how echoes of the past still resonate in today’s music.
