MENCON : Mendelssohn Violin Concerto reimagined

MenCon is a radical reinterpretation of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto Op.64, wherein the solo part remains completely intact (realised by violinist Chihiro Ono), and the orchestral parts are reinterpreted and recomposed by a chamber orchestra of creative musicians from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds, led by composer Neil Luck.

After several acclaimed performances, broadcasts, and a record release since 2022, we are bringing this chameleonic, unrepeatable, unpredictable, risky work on tour to be realised with several groups. First, is COMA Glasgow, for a performance at the completely idiosyncratic Edinburgh venue, Pianodrome.

Tickets are free, but booking is required.
